MagMatrix Mgo Sulfate Fire Board is Better Than Fiber Cement Board
MagMatrix Sulfate MgO Fire Board: Fireproofing rating: Grade A1 Non-combustible MagMatrix Sulfate Mgo Fire Board: Lighter than cement board, smoother than drywall, more flexible than cement board, more rigid than drywall, much more rigid than either cement board, drywall or wood-based board materials.
*Ideal for basements, garages, washrooms, wet pool areas and laundry rooms. *For all residential, commercial, industrial and institutional construction. *Perfect for adding fireproofing to wood frame construction and elsewhere. *Excellent acoustic dampening material with higher density and elasticity. *Refractory material for infrared radiation (heat) assisting to reduce the loss of energy when heating or cooling by reducing on ductivity. *Non-hazardous, natural, non-toxic and disposable as crushable clean fill. *Environmentally friendly and produced without wasting large amounts of fossil fuel or releasing significant CO2 into the atmosphere in production. *Available in Chalk White and Slate Grey, custom colors and pre-cut sizes. *Stronger and more rigid to allow thinner material to do the same job. *Easier to work with using all types of hand tools and woodworking equipment but also can be cut with a quick score and snap faster than drywall.
MagMatrix Sulfate MgO Fire Board Is Better Than Fiber Cement Board
MagMatrix MgO Sulfate Fire Board has different characteristics than gypsum. It can be scored and snapped but better results come from cutting with carbide saws and shaping with routers. Attachment can be done using a nail gun, which results in much faster construction time or screws that are able to self countersink work. MagMatrix Sulfate MgO board generally has superior strength than gypsum for impact, fastener holding, and shear applications. A single screw in a 12 mm board can hold 500 lbs in shear and half that amount in tension. Due to its hardness, Corner and J beads are not required. Joints do not have to be on a stud and it is possible to go from board installation to painting the same day. Moreover, because of its stiffness, thinner boards can be used. Ten millimeters or three eighth inch works well for walls and eight millimeters can be used for ceilings.
